Today I hooked up with Brian for a one way trip from Indian Creek to Tull Bay. We thought the wind was going to cooperate with us and be pretty much at our back the entire way, and that the temperature was going to be a little warmer. The wind was more East then it was North, and the temp never broke through 50 (forecast was for 55). Other then that it was a pretty good trip.
We launched from Indian Creek Road, with the water lower then normal the original plan was for Baum road but why fight the mud. The weather changes have pretty much taken any real intense fall color out of the picture, very little red mostly yellows and browns.
The Northwest river was really nice, only a few of the regulars out fishing, no wakes, no JetSkis, no problem... Not much wind at the beginning, just a really nice breeze out of the North. I guess it was about the half way point when the wind increased and started becoming more Easterly, I was kind of wishing I had kept the fleece on under my dry top at this point.
We were going to check out Nellie Bell Ponds, but the water level was to low to allow passage of the kayaks, so I guess we'll have to try that one again.
