Well it was to nice of a day to waste at work, so I didn't, I left early and went kayaking. I was planning on going to Ashville Bridge Creek, but as I went by, there was absolutely no water in the creek. So I opted for Little Island, where I knew I could get the kayak in the water. When I got to the Little Island Kayak launch, there was water, it was way out there, but there was water. I had to haul the kayak nearly a quarter mile from the normal launch area to get to deep enough water. I headed out across the channel, with my paddle hitting the bottom every stroke, which totally messed me up. I proceeded South along the Western side of the island, trying to stay in deep enough water, when I got to the cut through, there was a nice current coming in which will hopefully bring the levels back to something normal for the weekend. Not much else happened this trip, except for the quarter mile walk pulling my kayak, because I couldn't find deep enough water to float the kayak.
Little Island Kayak Launch, really low water, you can see the how far out the water is by looking at the sand in the background
