Finally, a really nice day, and water. It has been so hit or miss for kayaking this winter, it has either been to nasty to be on the water, or the wind has blown all the water out of Back Bay, to the point if I could launch the kayak I wasn't going to get to far, see the Feb 20th entry. So I loaded up the kayak, and ended up at the Little Island kayak launch for a trip around Long Island, the weather was Sunny, temps in the low 60's with about 10MPH of wind out of the East. My only plan today was to make it around the island, see if I still remembered how to paddle, and check to see if the Osprey's had returned to the nest at the south end of the Island. Well I made it around the island, I have not lost my kayak skills, and the Osprey have not returned. I will go back to check on the nest in a couple of weeks...
