Now were getting to the cold stuff. overnight was in the upper 20's warming up to the low 50's wind out of the East at 7. Headed to Lovitts Landing to do a cruise around Redhead Bay and Shipps Bay. All the grasses and other plants are all dying off for the winter. I didn't see many birds today, only the occasional shore bird. Things went much better today then on my last trip out, the boat felt right, no cramping. The water level was low, so I couldn't get as close to the shore line as I wanted to this trip, in some places it was mud a good 10 to 20 feet out from the shoreline. Paddling in the different water levels, does give a whole new perspective to the shore line, as you can see many of the tracks left in the mud from various animals traversing the area, and you can see how many different types of animals are out there even though you don't see that many during the day. While going into a small shaded inlet , I came across an area of ice, covering the water, so winter isn't that far off...
