Well you can feel and see that fall is really here in Hampton Roads, Temps never made it above the mid 60's winds out of the Northwest 10 to 15 mph Gusting to 22. I stayed off of the water yesterday, due to the instability in the atmosphere, it wanted to pop up some T-Storms, but they never appeared. So I had some free time this morning before football so I opted for a quick run on Ashville Bridge Creek. The Lotus are completely done, and are getting ready to bed down for the winter, it did appear that the growth covered a larger area of the creek this year, as compared to last, I will see if I can find some photos from last year to compare to. It was interesting just drifting down the creek and reflecting on the changes over the past year. I end up on this creek on a pretty regular basis, The heat of summer, and the ice of winter, and watching the schools of hatchling fish, all and all it has been a great year on Ashville Bridge Creek. Over all not a whole lot going on, very few birds, and no other wildlife at all. Most of the plant life is going dormant, and all the reeds and grasses have gone to seed, and pretty much the only thing blooming are the little daisy like plants scattered up and down the creek.
