Weather was great, a little on the warm side temps in the low 80's dew points in 70's, wind out of the East at 12. The weather has the potential to go down hill rapidly today, so I opted for local trip instead of getting someplace and being disappointed. It actually turned out great, looks like the Lotus in the creek are approaching full bloom, I got plenty of pictures. Heading out to Back Bay, it was apparent that the vast majority of plants have pretty much finished for the season. I got out on Back Bay and my phone rang, it was Dave, he saw my truck in the parking lot and was heading out on the creek with his son for the first time, and since I really didn't have any hard plans I turned back to meet up. We joined up at Muddy Creek, and decided to head up and check it out.. Muddy Creek is a nice forested stretch of water, with a few house's along the way, fairly shady with lots of birds and some interesting pockets along the way.
