Well it didn't seem that hot, Temps in the upper 80's to 90, winds out of the Southwest at 5. This weather system was supposed to break last night, but it didn't, or at least dry out a little... I decided to do a short run on Ashville Bridge Creek, because it still felt to hot to try anything longer. I wasn't disappointed thou.. All the Lotus were in bloom, and I got some great pictures. The lotus were covering over half the creek at one point, and in various stages of bloom. The swamp hibiscus are in the final stages of bloom, but are still adding color to the landscape. As far as other activity along the creek it seems it was too hot for everything except the bugs, and birds. The turtles were absent, probably because the water temps are way up there, so I guess they don't need to sun themselves to heat up... Made it out to Back Bay, which is usually my decision point, and I was deciding on going out to the marsh that burnt in March, or doing the loop, I initially decided on the loop, but after getting to Hell's Creek and realizing that the wind was essentially blowing right up the creek at about the speed I paddle, and the simple fact that I was breaking into the third of 4 bottles of water, 2 miles of 90 degree no breeze paddling did not appeal to me, besides heading back the way I came was a shorter distance
