Kayak Virginia Beach - Memorial Day - Linda and Nick's First Trip of the Year

Weather was mostly cloudy, lower 70's with light winds out of the east 5 to 7 mph. This was just a short trip to get Linda and Nick back out on the water, and it turned out really nice. The Iris's (at least I think they were Iris's were in bloom on Smith's Creek this weekend, as with plenty of other species, but the Iris's were really impressive. It was a pretty big change from last week. I messed up and only brought 2 paddles for 3 paddlers, so Linda did most of the paddling in the tandem with Nick, but Nick did some, and he actually did pretty good. We saw several people out on the water today, must be warm enough for everybody now, not sure what I like better the colors of spring, or solitude of winter. All in all it was a great weekend, weather was nice, and I got out and did about 26 miles on the water...
