Stretching a three day weekend into four... Weather was great, temps in the low 80's, and the wind was calm until I got to the Lake, then it was blowing 10 to 15 out of the Southwest. Made a long overdue trip to lake Drummond, my last trip out was New Years Day, what a contrast from no color or life, to green and gorgeous. The trip out was typical of paddling in a straight canal. had the typical current a couple of vultures loitering around a horrendous smell... After I got to the lake, I headed out to the same area's I visited in January to get some pictures of what I took pictures then. Looking at those pictures, and the ones I took today, it's hard to say which are prettier. After fighting the wind and chop, I headed down the the Southeast corner of the lake, hung out there took some pictures while heading back to the feeder ditch. Entering the feeder ditch, saw a lot of dragonflies, and instead of hanging around the boat, they did tend to avoid it, I guess they were busy eating and other activities. Had an uneventful trip down the ditch it's nice having the tail current for the trip home...
