Drum Point - Mill Landing
This is a launch site maintained by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (VDGIF).
This is a nice facility, with a ramp for small power boats, and plenty of parking. the primary drawback to this launch site is the distance to anything other then open water, most of the marshes and islands are 2 to 3 miles away. This site also does not have any protection from the North, so if there is a strong North wind, you may want to launch somewhere else, as the wind chop running up, can be pretty nasty.
Directions:
From Princess Anne road, there will be a brown sign pointing East, marked "Public Boat Launch". Turn on Mill Landing Road, and follow it all the way down, until it seems you are lost, at that point go a little further and on the right you will see a large gravel parking lot and on the left is the ramp. Be advised that Mill Landing Road is a narrow twisty rural road with a lot of turns.
