Brumley Road boat launch, is located at the end of Brumley Road on Knotts Island North Carolina. The ramp is maintained by the North Carolina WIldlife Commission, and there is no fee to launch. The facility is clean and well maintained. The ramp itself is concrete with a peir the extends about 50 feet into the bay, and is protected by a piling breakwater on both sides. As a word of caution this ramp has a lot of power boat traffic.

The parking is located about long block up the street on the North side, but I would suggest dropping your boat off at the ramp, and then park, there are small grass patches on either side of the ramp with room for a couple of boats each.

This site provides access to Knotts Island bay, and the various marshes and islands in the Southern end of the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, as well as access to Corova Beach.

There are several nice trips from this location, including an easy tour of the island, or a cruise through the marshes of the refuge, or a crossing to Carova Beach.

Carova Beach is about a 2 mile paddle each way, and is semi-developed, building restrictions were put in a while back to protect the wild horses, and the only access is by boat or foot, vehicle access is restricted to residents only, to protect the horses.
